For piece 3 I decided to draw a lamp, soda can, jellybeans, and an apple. I think the most obvious thing in my piece are the highlighted areas and the shadows that go with each object.
I used the prismacolor color pencils to create this piece. One technique that i used the most was blending with the white prismacolor color pencil. I also colored really darkly when applying each color.
I think I mostly wanted to do the apple because one of my favorite characters from harry potter named Draco Malfoy has an obsession over apples. Or he is just seen in a lot of scenes with an apple.
My main goal why creating this piece was to make sure I had everything on the rubric completed and that everything was blended out. I also just started using color pencils on this piece, so i haven't done it before now. The white color pencil actually did help blend everything out.
My overall thoughts are that I did pretty well for this being my first time using color pencils.
I decided to recreate one of my grandmas coffee decorations. It's a coffee cup made of metal that hangs on our wall. I think the most obvious thing about my piece it the shading.
I used a regular pencil, because mechanical pencils seems to mess me up whenever I'm drawing. I also used blending stumps to better shade/ blend out my pencil. I also used the stumps to make my shadow look more like a shadow.
Nothing really inspired me to draw this, I just thought it looked cool and had plenty of places for me to blend. It does not express or show a person issue.
My goals for this piece were to make sur that I had it done, but obviously I'm turning it in late, so goal not achieved. Another one of my goals was to be able to make my blending look as close to the picture as possible.
My overall thoughts are that I think I did pretty well, with the blending and making sure i had everything to meet the rubric expectations. I also think I did bad because I didn't turn it in on time.
For piece 5 I did a lake with a bridge as the object with the most amount of detail. I think the most obvious thing in my piece is the bridge. It is at the front of the piece and has the most detail out of everything.
I used a watercolor set that I got from Wal-Mart to the do the background and the more faded colors. I used a more professional set from my grandma to do the things that needed more detail and to make stuff look darker.
I think my grandma inspired my piece for this project because she loves to paint and so I picked something she likes to paint so that she would enjoy helping me.
My goal was to have it turned in on time and to make sure I met the rubrics expectations. I think this piece did, because I had my grandma helping me.
I learned not to add too much water, or the paper would look wavy. I also learned to use enough water so the watercolor would actually flow and look good. I think I did ok, Because this was my first time doing watercolor.
For this piece I did 5 separate drawings for the inktober challenge. I did a hand with strings for the puppet column, I did a ufo for the ufo column, a boat for the stranded column, a eye for the eye column, and lastly I did a hot air balloon for flight.
For this piece I used a pen and my mixed media sketchbook. I basically used a lot of different techniques when doing this project. Mostly just putting a lot of pen ink for the shaded areas and I put less ink in the non shaded areas.
No one really inspired this work, I just wanted to get all of them done by the end of the week. My artwork does not express any personal.
My goals for this piece was to make sure all five parts of the project were finished on time. I also wanted to complete it right, making sure it looked good and that I wasn't doing it all half good half bad.
I learned on this project that it is not that easy to draw a hot air balloon at all. I think the other four drawing I really liked doing. I also think that they turned out pretty good.
for this weeks piece I did two different adds, and on business card. I did a Nike shoe ad, an iPhone 11 ad, and a cute business with my name on it. I think the floral theme is pretty obvious in my two ads, I thought it looked pretty.
I used a bunch of floral photos for the borders of the ads because I thought it was pretty cute. I wanted to ad a little more the just shoes and an iPhone. I just uploaded photos of the shoes and the floral print. I also added text that went with the ad.
No one inspired me for this piece, I just like iPhones and Nike tennis shoes. My artwork does not express any personal or social issue. I also did not show any emotion in my artwork.
My goals as an artist are to make sure I can learn new things while doing these projects that I have never done before. I think that I'm learning a good amount of things.
I learned how to make an ad, and I never knew how to do that before. The final piece is definitely not what I imagined, but I like it. I don't know how it will influence my future artwork.
For this weeks project I did a cubism project. I drew a pumpkin as the main focus in my piece, and then I drew some extra shapes surrounding it. I also added another pumpkin at the top.
I created my art using a paint set that my grandma bought me. I also used a couple different small paint brushes. I know that we were suppose to do random colors, but I did warm colors for the pumpkins and cool colors for the extra shapes.
The big idea behind my work was to draw a pumpkin in the middle of the drawing because I thought it would be cute seeing as it is October. No my work does not express any kind of emotional or social issue. I didn't really try to show any emotions in this piece either.
My goals as an artist are to improve at the kill I mostly struggle at. Most of the project we have done this semester I have never really done before. I don't think this piece helped me reach my goals. because I don't think I did to well on this piece.
I learned in this piece that sometimes if the paint color yo chose to work with is too light, then you need to add multiple layers. The final piece isn't really how I imagined it would be, but I don't hate it. I think for the future of me painting I now know that I need multiple layers of paint and also that I need smaller paintbrushes to do the smaller areas.
My piece is of a character named Klaus Michaelson, played by actor Joseph Morgan. I did a portrait of him and added a colorful background. I think the most obvious thing about my piece is that you can tell the my character isn't just a human.
I used mostly a non-mechanical pencil so that there wouldn't be any marks from the mechanical pencil. I also used blending stumps, so my piece looked better.
For this week's piece my Best friend Dayanara inspired my piece, because before I moved to North Carolina we use to watch this show called the originals together. Now that I don't live in Illinois we can't really watch it together anymore.
My goal was to be able to turn my usual plain pencil drawing into something more colorful, so I added a rainbow type background, so that there was more to the piece then just a character.
I learned that just added some last minute detail can really change the whole look of the piece. The final piece is actually isn't what I imagined. I got the colorful background idea from another student in the class. Overall I think I did pretty good on this piece.
